Our last day in Krakow...and I still didn’t do several of the things I’d hoped to such as going up into the Basiliica, a cathedral in the square where a trumpet player appears every hour in the tower window to play a few notes, and a little more apparel shopping.
Oh the babushka--Sarah wears it so well!
Dziadzio (Or Yayo as Lena has dubbed him)--help me see the horsey!
We did another carriage ride as a big family for an hour—it was very nice and Lena took a nap on Dziadzio almost the entire way. In the evening after dinner a few of us went to a Chopin concert. And of course...much more chocolate at the “Chocolate Lady”
Photo on the right is the St. Mary's Basilica in the square where the trumpet player in the tower plays a few notes and stops midsong in memory of the trumpet plaer who was shot in the throat midsong when he was warning the town of invaders.
Lena rode on Dave's shoulders a lot this trip--turns out an umbrella stroller isn't so great on coblestone streets. I now know why European strollers are so fancy! They NEED the shocks!
Lena's aunties and uncle--enjoying a delicious dessert on a beautiful day!
My European Beauty :)
