Some moms and babes in the neighborhood met today for an outing to the Quail Botanical Gardens in Encinitas--what a place! It was GORGEOUS, smelled fantastic, gave me a little sense of serenity, and had two great play areas for the kiddos. We will surely be going back! I'm thinking a membership...
Lena loves anything to crawl in and around. She went through this door hole at least 15 times--at first I would as well thinking she was going somewhere, but no no, she just wanted to turn around and go back through. Well, we don't need to see a big old mommy do that each time... ;) 
The best part--the children's area had a small wading stream to splash around in complete with small 'waterfalls' and big rocks to climb around. I wish I'd gotten better pics but this is the best i could do considering I was keeping her from slipping, drowning, and being trampled the whole time. I swear, for her the more kids to possibly trample her the better! She loves watching the big kids!
Look at her--she looks like a kid not a baby! She took 6 consecutive steps today at the park. This is a water trough to play in, she loved it! And yes, we went through three outfits at the gardens with all the water play--good thing I always over pack!
