We have been spending a lot of time at the neighborhood pool since returning to California because the weather has been so nice--sometimes a bit too nice for no AC--and Lena is becoming quite the water baby. We often go with neighbor friends...below is our favorite 5 month old Kennadi as we were waiting for the lifeguard to let us in. We thought it was hysterical the way she took off her sunglasses and started chewing on the earpiece like an adult deep in thought! She's stinkin cute!
Lena was having fun in her floatie which she generally only tolerates for a few minutes--but it gives me a chance to enjoy the pool without holding her for those minutes! You can't so much go under when you are holding a baby... ;)
Her favorite two things to do are climb around on the steps in the pool and sit on the side and 'jump' to me...or lean forward quickly and give a little jolt when I say 'Jump!' Hopefully we'll get some more warm weeks as the pool is open through October. Dave is looking forward to getting a chance to swim with her so I'm praying it stays nice!

My daughter just turned one and she's already in a bikini? Oh, boy...
This is so cute. She is just hanging out. Missing her! Can't wait to have everyone come home in November.
