Whale Watching

We went whale watching in Oceanside harbor on Dave's day off on Tuesday. Such a great day for it--I brought mittens for everyone because I was scared it would be too cold, but it was perfect. We only saw one small 'Minke' whale, but saw hundreds of dolphins. It was great! Lena pointed to all of them and then of course asked for 'more.' She also made a lot of whale noises (think Dory from Finding Nemo).

It was amazing, we hit a feeding frenzy and saw literally hundreds of dolphins--as far as we could see they were jumping all over the place! They were racing the boat, so we could look straight down over the edge and there they were!

I would want to get right down there in the water with the dolphins! Could you do that?
