A girlfriend of mine told me that she always put a laminated picture of daddy in her baby girl's crib when daddy was deployed, and she always remembered him--even as a baby. So I did it yesterday...
...This afternoon I heard Lena happily talking as she was waking up from her nap, so I snuck in and this is what I saw! She was just talking away reaching for daddy. Is that about the sweetest thing you've ever seen or what?!

Stephanie, I have enjoyed watching your blog. I admire you, Dave, and Lena for the strength you must have. This picture tugs at my heart and so does Dave's comment. Lena is lucky to have the both of you.
