Beach Fun

We spent the last two days of Faith and Jesse's visit at the beach because it was HOT! We walked down the Pier to Ruby's for lunch on Sunday and played at the beach park for awhile. Again...wearing the kids out!

I know it looks uncomfortable, but she loves this game--she's upside down swinging forward and back as I go 'tick tock tick tock...'

She seemed to enjoy the sand, I was just too busy trying to keep it out of her mouth and eyes to really enjoy it with her.

Monday we actually tested the waters. For a few seconds as I was lowering her down she kept her legs straight out in front of her and would NOT stand up! Pretty unusual for her, she loves standing with support... She finally tested the water which was pretty cold and only had a moment of tears when a little too much water washed up while she was sitting.

San Diego sand is a bit more like mud than beach sand...

Jesse didn't care!

Its hard to tell in the pics, but for some reason the sand was FULL of gold glitter. It was beautiful in the sun and surf!

It's 36 hours later and i'm still finding sand in places on her--two baths later.

She was wiped and took a nice little nap in her tent while Jesse kept playing. I wish I could have cuddled up with her inside of there too! The sun makes me tired :)
