Saying Goodbye

We spent a lot of time at the squadron today, just waiting around for the guys to load up before we said goodbye. We had some fun laughs and special moments that I won't soon forget.
A moment for our friends Dave, Jess, and baby T. Dave will be missing the birth of their first child in July.

Daddy showed Lena around inside the helo

Ready for whatever comes... Every Marines a Rifleman

A few last moments playing airplane and helicopter with daddy.

Some friends of ours final moments together

There are no words..

When I heard the busses start up I knew it was time to say goodbye. The day had dragged, standing around staring at each other for too long anticipating this moment. As is my way, we quickly said some things and kissed goodbye. He turned and waved before getting on and waved out the window as they drove off honking their horns.
I miss him already.
But time goes quickly and it won't be long before we are standing around waiting for these busses to pull up with tears in our eyes once again, but this time with excitement in our hearts.
Please keep Dave and his squadron in your prayers. Pray that their efforts overseas be productive and that they return home safely with a sense of accomplishment.

Hey Stephanie - wow you actually had the presence of mind to bring your camera - you did a lot better than I did. I was pretty much a mess the whole day and definitely should not have driven myself home because I could barely see I was crying so hard. It's actually going really well for us. Here we are, Wil and I are almost a third of the way through our deployment. We'll be thinking of you guys.

There is no place on earth that God's watchful eye cannot see.
He has promised that he will never leave or forsake us.
What a blessing we have as his covenant children.
Praise God!

We love you guys and we are praying continually.
love,
mom (YUP)

Steph and Dave,
Last night I laid awake thinking about how the next few months would bring so much change. We think of your family often and will continue to pray for you as you have miles between you...until that distance is a memory. We pray for safety and a quick time apart. Thank you both for the sacrifice of your time together for serving. Love you guys!!! Brian, Courtney, Elli and Audrey
