Bates Nut Farm

Our first fun family day now that Dave is back! We spent the afternoon at Bate's Nut Farm for their fall festivities. Lena was a bit moody but we still had a good time ;) Dave was able to experience some 'firsts' with Lena including her first pony ride!

Which she loved :)

We did the hay maze with Lena in the frontpack carrier, but then towards the end we took her out and she, all by herself, found our way back out of the maze! Smart little cookie we have!

I just LOVED how beautiful Lena was in the pumpkin patch in this adorable dress from our friend Jessica. I think her coloring is meant to be surrounded by the fall colors :)

She enjoyed crawling around in the hay...and now I have to vaccuum out my car...

Lena walked right up to the pumpkin patch and tried to pick up the first pumpkin she saw. She soon realized it was too heavy for her and simply moved on to climbing on them instead. I was so bummed she didn't try again so I could've snapped a picture!
We also took a hayride. Lena liked sitting at the front of our little cab with the wind in her hair...just like the boat this summer I think!
