Summer Days..

We spent an afternoon at a childhood favorite place--Duck Lake Channel.  

Lena has taken to drinking from cups and water bottles--most of the time she's pretty good at it.  The video below is not a good example of one of her more successful attempts, but its adorable :)  

She loves the water!

Tired after a day out on the boat.  She got into quite the giggle fit while cuddling in to me when I started rocking her back and forth singing a lullaby--my hair was tickling the side of her face and she was in hysterics!  Another of those moments I don't ever want to forget!  She's not a cuddler generally, but she stayed like this for a good 5 minutes while we rocked.

I have new respect for why turtles are so slow--it is genuinely hard to crawl when your arms stick out the side instead of in front--Lena demonstrated while in her life jacket!
