15 month well baby checkup last week was good! 18lbs 10oz (still the 5
th percentile...) almost 31 inches long, and the doc was very impressed with all of her abilities. She's really communicating with us these days with the 9 or so words she knows and the 7 or 8 signs she uses. She is pointing to objects and animals in books and knows roughly 15 animal noises (as well as what a helicopter says)! She knows where her belly button is (lifts her shirt!), as well as her head, hair, eyes, ears, nose, mouth, teeth, hands and feet are. She loves anything she can climb on, she loves reading books (the same ones again and again it seems!) and she loves loves loves doggies. She can point out a
doggie (and a
Santa Claus 'ho ho ho she says) from a mile away. I spend a lot of my time looking for the dog or picture of a dog after she shouts '
doggie' and starts panting. There is always a reason...even if it is a picture on the package toilet paper or its actually a picture of a goat. She's growing up so fast!
She's getting so smart with her toys these days! Stacking 4 to 8 blocks, fitting shapes in her shape sorters, and even figuring out the non-toys...like the hand sanitizer bottle she unscrewed the other day! I love watching her play when she doesn't know I'm watching...
