Visiting Wisconsin

Lena and I went to Dave's family's home in Wisconsin for a week and had a great time.  We went to the zoo, got pedicures, celebrated Jon's 13th birthday, played games, ate good food (well at least I did!), terrorized Mandy (the family dog), among many other exciting and funny moments.  We sure missed having Dave around though!

Grandma bought Lena this penguin, which she was running from squealing in delight in this photo :)  She has REALLY taken off with the crawling, she gets around!

I think feeding the giraffes was the highlight of the vacation!  Lena was fearless!  I was stupid, and gave her the biscuit to hand to the giraffe, which she instantly put in her own mouth--YUCK!  But then I guided her hand and she caught on.  Her little hand was inside the mouth of the giraffe with his big tongue around her arm and she was smiling!  

I think Grandma loves being a Grandma!

Thanks for the pedicures Grandma! Feels so good to be pampered :)
