We went to New Orleans for Mardi Gras with Kim and Dave Thomas (yes, the founder of Wendy's). Kim and Steph got all dressed up including frighteningly gaudy face paint.

The parades were so elaborate--mostly all with themes relating to Hurricane Katrina and the relief efforts. It was neat to see the spirit of the city had not collapsed despite the destruction.
So many beads! By the end of the night we had over 100 strands!
